Bernd Faass was born in 1985 in Oettingen in southern Germany. He grew up in a small town called Utzmemmingen. At an early age, he began to feel enthusiastic about sports and music. His passion for filmmaking started when his dad bought an old Hi8-Camera. But in Utzmemmingen you reach limits very easy, that’s why Bernd decided to leave his hometown to become a famous director. He is a graduate of the renowned Film Academy Baden-Württemberg. His work has been awarded at the Young Directors Award in Cannes, at the New York Festivals, the Clios and by the Art Directors Club, to name a few.
